Our Story

Maternal and infant health outcomes are overdue for improvement.  There are many reasons why we’re struggling, including adequate prenatal and postpartum related education and preparation. We used to meet with groups of pregnant women discussing the pregnancy, preparing for childbirth, and early family life. This has gone away and we’re all looking online and searching for information.

Today, education takes place in many forms and ways – and we’re excited to be part of this development! MaternityMetrix is an online library of pertinent topics from early pregnancy to postpartum recovery and family life. We used our clinical nursing expertise, reviewed the evidence, and focused on education and guidance to help navigate your pregnancy. The result is an app, with accurate information, accessible in English and Spanish, easy reading, and web access. Finally, we want to support and empower you and yours, while understanding and advocating for the best care for you, so we included guidance on what to prepare for clinic and hospital visits.
